Bathroom Remodeling in the Charlotte Area

Vanities, tubs, tile and full bathroom refreshes that turn the oldest room in the house around — in Charlotte and all around it.

A bathroom remodel packs a lot into a small room — tile, a vanity, a tub or shower, lighting, sometimes new flooring, all in a space where every inch and every angle shows. D'Avila Handyman handles the whole thing as one job, not a stack of separate contractors passing the same small room back and forth.

A lot of Charlotte-area homes built during the 90s and 2000s boom have bathrooms that were finished cheap and fast — thin vanities, flat builder tile, lighting that does the minimum. A remodel is a chance to actually fix that, whether it's a full gut or just refreshing the pieces that are dragging the room down.

What's included

A full bathroom remodel usually starts with demo down to the studs and subfloor, then works forward: waterproofing where the tub or shower goes, tile set on a properly prepped substrate, vanity and lighting installed level and to code height, and trim and paint to close it out. Skipping the waterproofing step to save a day is how bathrooms end up with soft floors and mold behind the wall a year later.

Not every bathroom needs a full gut, though. Sometimes the layout and the plumbing are fine and what's actually dragging the room down is a dated vanity, old tile, or lighting that leaves the mirror half-lit. Norge will tell you honestly which one your bathroom needs after looking at it, not push a bigger job than it calls for.

How we work

Walkthrough

Norge looks at the bathroom and talks through whether it needs a full gut or a refresh.

Estimate

You get a clear estimate covering tile, vanity, lighting and whatever else is in scope.

Demo & Waterproofing

Old fixtures come out and the wet areas get properly waterproofed before tile goes on.

Finish & Cleanup

Tile, vanity, lighting and trim go in, and the bathroom is cleaned up when it's done.

Bathroom Remodeling by city

The Charlotte area is many housing generations at once — a 1990s two-story in Matthews, a ranch on a big Mint Hill lot and a new Huntersville subdivision each remodel differently, and we work in all of them.

Common questions

Does my bathroom need a full gut, or can you just update parts of it?
It depends on what's actually wrong. Norge looks at the layout and the fixtures first and tells you honestly whether it's a full remodel or just a vanity, tile or lighting refresh.
How do you keep water from getting behind the tile in the shower?
Proper waterproofing before the tile goes on is a required step in every wet area Norge builds, not something skipped to move faster.
Do you handle just the vanity and lighting, or does it have to be the whole bathroom?
Just the vanity and lighting is fine — you don't need to do the whole room if that's not what's needed.
